Josie Kay Photography bio picture
  • Hey there! I’m Josie Kay

American Poet, and one of my favorites, Mary Oliver asked; “So tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one WILD + PRECIOUS life?” Her question resonated with me personally and professionally and those two words became a mantra to drive my life and work.
Personally, I am in love with the idea of life being WILD + PRECIOUS. Because it is. It’s fast + slow, big + small, crazy + simple…wild + precious. Life is full of these moments. Everyone has a story and I’m here to tell it.

Cousins Class of 2012

Ahh! Seniors who are cousins! What could be better!? These girls are so special to me, they are family. Well practically family, sometimes I forget that we aren’t actually related. But, they are still FAMILY. Our Grandfathers went to college together, and built a true friendship that has carried on through two more generations. Our families are spread out all over the country, but every summer, everyone takes time out of their busy lives to come here to my Grandpa’s Pond in Indiana for one fabulous week of camping. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and COUSINS! Lots and lots of cousins. It is always an incredible time. So when I heard that these girls wanted their Senior Pictures taken at The Pond, I was more than happy to oblige. My amazing friend and talented photographer Sara helped me out and the four of us had so much fun! Amie and Becca, you’re both beautiful! Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to photograph you and have a great Senior year!

Amie (left) is from Illinois and Becca (right) is from Michigan.

These dreamy images are brought to you thanks to some strong boys who carried the canoe through the woods to our second pond!

Yeah. There was definitely lots of laughing!
