  • Hey there! I’m Josie Kay

American Poet, and one of my favorites, Mary Oliver asked; “So tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one WILD + PRECIOUS life?” Her question resonated with me personally and professionally and those two words became a mantra to drive my life and work.
Personally, I am in love with the idea of life being WILD + PRECIOUS. Because it is. It’s fast + slow, big + small, crazy + simple…wild + precious. Life is full of these moments. Everyone has a story and I’m here to tell it.

Sex + Money: A National Search for Human Worth

It was the worst night of sleep I’ve had in a long time. I kept tossing and turning, my mind was racing, processing, rethinking and relearning. Just a few hours earlier I attended a screening of the documentary Sex + Money: A National Search for Human Worth. It is a feature length documentary film about sex trafficking happening right here in the good ol US of A. Yes, here. It’s happening.

I have known about this issue on a global level for some time, but until this documentary I was ignorant of this atrocity happening in our own back yards.

The documentary follows a group of photojournalists traveling in an RV across the country learning about how big this problem actually is in the States. Now they are traveling across America again, this time in a tour bus screening the film in all 50 States, please check out their website to see where you can attend a screening near you. I encourage everyone to take a step out of their comfort zones, get informed and learn how you can help.
